ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Right to personal identity

Right to personal identity is a right that everyone has. It means that everyone gets to decide how they want to identify themselves and no one can tell them who to be. They get to decide their own name, gender, what types of things they like, and how they want to look. No one can tell them that their identity is wrong, wrong for them, or not allowed. Everyone's identity is important and should be respected!
