Roll-to-roll

Roll-to-roll means to move something from one roll to another roll continuously. For example, if you have some wallpaper, each roll of wallpaper is on a big roll and you roll it out from one roll to another roll to put the wallpaper on your walls. It's like moving from one roll of wallpaper to the next until you've covered your walls.
