Sexual reproduction

Sexual reproduction is the way that some animals and plants make more animals or plants like themselves. During sexual reproduction, an animal or plant will make little bits called "gametes" that combine with other gametes from another animal or plant. When the gametes combine, a new animal or plant is made that has features from both. For example, if a mom and dad turtle both had stripes on their shells, their baby turtle might also have stripes on its shell.
