ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Shoplifting

Alright kiddo, shoplifting means taking things from a store without paying for them. You know how you can't just take toys or candy from the store without mommy or daddy paying for them? Well, some people do that even when they're big and grown up.

This is not allowed and it's against the rules. And when people do this, it's like they're stealing. Taking something that belongs to someone else without permission is not honest or fair.

So, it's very important to always remember to pay for things that you want to take from the store. If you see someone taking something without paying for it, tell a grown-up like a store worker or security guard, and they can help make sure everyone follows the rules.
