Simile

A simile is when we compare two things using the words "like" or "as". It's kind of like when you play with your toys and you say your toy car goes "vroom vroom" just like a real car does.

For example, someone might say "she runs like a gazelle" which means that the person runs very fast and gracefully, just like a gazelle in the wild. Another example could be "he's as strong as an ox" which means that the person is very strong, just like an ox which is a very strong animal.
