Sit-up (exercise)

A sit-up is when you lay down on your back and then lift your head, shoulders, and upper body up towards your knees while keeping your feet on the ground. It's like doing a mini crunch with your body.

To do a sit-up, lay down on a flat surface like the ground or a mat. Bend your knees so that your feet are flat on the ground. You can cross your arms over your chest or place them behind your head for support. Then, slowly lift your head and shoulders off the ground while squeezing your abs. Try to touch your knees with your elbows. Then, slowly lower your upper body back down to the ground. Repeat this movement for as many sit-ups as you want to do.

Sit-ups are a popular exercise because they work your abdominal muscles, which are the muscles in your stomach area. Doing sit-ups regularly can help strengthen your core muscles and improve your overall fitness level. However, it's important to remember to do them correctly and not overdo it, as doing too many sit-ups can strain your neck or back.
