Soviet Empire

The Soviet Union was a large country made up of several different countries in Europe and Asia. It existed from 1922 until 1991. The Soviet Union was ruled by a group of people called the Communist Party. They believed that everyone should get the same amount of money and jobs, and that the government should own all of the businesses and factories. The Soviet Union was very powerful, and had an enormous military that helped them take control of the other countries in the area. This made them an empire, because they had power and control over other countries.
