Statistical significance

Statistical significance means that something is true or not true based on numbers and statistics. Scientists used statistics to measure how strong a certain effect is when making decisions about their research. When something is statistically significant, it means that it is very unlikely to be due to chance or a coincidence and that is it likely to be real.
