Status quo bias means that people tend to like things to stay the same instead of changing them. Imagine that you have a favorite food that you always eat, like chicken nuggets. Even if someone suggests trying a new food, like broccoli, you might say "no thank you" because you like chicken nuggets and don't want to try something different. That's status quo bias! People tend to be more comfortable with things they already know and like, and it can be hard to convince them to change their minds. Sometimes, it's good to try new things and make changes, but it can be hard to get people to do that because of status quo bias.
