Synthetic fuel is fuel that is made in a factory instead of coming from natural sources such as plants or animals. Scientists use a process called "synthesis" to create the fuel. In this process, they take carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) and combine them with heat and electricity to create a type of fuel called Synthetic Fuel (SF). This fuel can be used to power vehicles, machinery and other types of equipment. Synthetic fuel is considered to be a renewable energy source because the CO2 used to make it doesn't come from natural sources and can be used over and over again.
