ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Theoretical Biology

Theoretical biology is the study of life forms and their behavior. It involves looking at how things work, how they interact with each other, and how they change over time. For example, scientists might look at how the shape of a plant affects how well it can absorb water, or how animal teeth have adapted to their diets over time. Theoretical biologists use mathematics, computer simulations, and other tools to try and understand life. They may study the evolution of a species, the behavior of an animal, and even the way a virus spreads through a population. By studying life this way, we can better understand the world around us and help make it a better place.
