ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Vipassanā

Vipassanā is a kind of meditation in Buddhism. It means insight or wisdom. It helps people become aware of their thoughts, feelings and body sensations. The goal is to train our mind to become more aware, so that we can make better choices in life and reduce our suffering. To do this, people sit still and focus on their breathing. This helps us to observe what's going on inside us without judgment or getting caught up in thoughts. With practice, we develop the ability to observe how our thoughts and emotions come and go. We can learn to make wiser choices to help us lead a more peaceful and balanced life.
