ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

War termination

Alright kiddo, sometimes countries don't get along and they might start to fight with each other. They might send soldiers to fight and use weapons like guns and bombs. This is called war.

But, when they've been fighting for a while, people start to get hurt and they might want to stop fighting. This is called war termination.

There are different ways for a war to end. One way is if one side wins and the other side has to give up. Another way is if both sides agree to stop fighting and sign a peace treaty.

Sometimes, there might be negotiations to talk about what each side wants and how they can both compromise to end the fighting. This is like when you and your friend want to watch different shows on TV, so you talk about it and find something you both like to watch.

It's important to end wars because people can get hurt or die, and countries might not be able to rebuild if the fighting keeps going on. So, war termination is like putting a stop to the fighting so everyone can start to heal and move forward.
