Alarmism

Alarmism is when someone is exaggerating how urgent or dangerous something is. For example, if there is a storm coming, and someone talks about it like it will be the end of the world, that would be an example of alarmism. In other words, it is when something is made to sound more serious or dramatic than it really is.
