ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Arrow (weapon)

An arrow is a long and skinny stick with a sharp tip at one end. People use arrows as weapons to shoot at targets or animals.

First, the arrow needs a bow to be shot. A bow is like a long, bendy stick with a string. When you pull the string back and let it go, it makes the arrow fly through the air really fast.

The sharp tip of the arrow is called the "point." It can be made out of metal, stone or other tough materials. Pointy tips help the arrow cut through the air and stick into the target or animal that it hits.

The other end of the arrow has something called "fletches" which are like little wings made of feathers or plastic. These wings help the arrow fly properly in the air. They also make the arrow spin so it goes straighter and faster.

Arrows are a very important tool for hunters and archers. They have been used for a very long time in different parts of the world. Today, many people still enjoy using arrows for fun or to hunt animals. Just remember to shoot them safely and always follow the rules!
