Beaker (glassware)

A beaker is a special kind of glass that scientists use to hold liquids when they are doing experiments. It looks like a cup, but it is much bigger and has lines on the side to help people measure how much liquid is inside.

Beakers come in different sizes and shapes, and they are made out of special glass that can handle heat, so scientists can put them on a hot plate without worrying that they will break.

When scientists mix chemical substances together, they often use beakers to hold the liquids. That way, they can see how the substances interact with each other and measure how much of each substance is needed.

Beakers are important tools in science because they allow scientists to test out different ideas and see what happens without having to worry about making a big mess or getting hurt.
