Biomimetics

Biomimetics is when people use ideas found in nature to help us do things better. Scientists and engineers look at how nature does things, like how birds fly and how plants take in sunlight and use it for energy, and then try to use that in their own designs. For example, an engineer might study how a bird flies through the air and then make an airplane that flies just like a bird.
