ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Biomimicry

Do you know how sometimes people look at animals to learn something and then they make things that work like them? That's called biomimicry. It's like copying something from nature to help make something else better. Like when people invented the airplane, they watched birds fly and then made wings that worked in a similar way. Or when people invented Velcro, they looked at how little seed pods stuck to things and made something that stuck in the same way. So basically, it's like taking ideas from nature to make things better and more efficient!
