ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Brand aversion

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of brands? Brands are like different kinds of candies. Some people love one flavor of candy, while others can't stand it. The same goes for brands, some people love a certain brand, while others don't like it very much.

Brand aversion means that someone doesn't like a particular brand, just like how some kids might not like a certain type of candy. It's not always easy to explain why someone has brand aversion, just like it's hard to explain why some kids don't like a certain type of candy.

Sometimes, people might have had a bad experience with a brand before, which makes them not want to buy it again. For example, someone might have bought a product from a certain brand that didn't work very well, so they don't want to buy anything from that brand anymore.

Other times, people might just not like the way a brand looks or feels. Just like how some kids might not like the color or shape of a candy, some people might not like the way a brand looks or feels.

So basically, brand aversion just means that someone doesn't like a particular brand for some reason. It's kind of like how some kids don't like certain candies - everyone has their own preferences!
