Breeches

Breeches are a type of pants that people used to wear a long time ago, like when kings and queens were in charge. They look kind of weird because they only come down to your knees and then they have special straps, kind of like suspenders, that go around your legs to keep them in place.

People used to wear breeches for a lot of different reasons. Sometimes, they were just really fashionable and made people look fancy. Other times, they were used for horseback riding or other activities where it was important to have pants that stayed in place and didn't get in the way.

Today, we don't wear breeches very often anymore, except maybe for costumes or if you're really into historical reenactments. But they're still an interesting part of history and can be fun to learn about!
