ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Co-operative

A co-operative is like a type of business. It is owned and controlled by its members. This means that unlike some other businesses, the members of the co-operative each have an equal say in deciding things, like what products or services the co-operative should offer, or how the profits should be used. Many co-operatives are started by people who have something in common, like where they live or what they do. They join together to make sure that everyone benefits, instead of just one person who owns the business.
