The Copenhagen Accord is an agreement made between different countries in the world to try and fight climate change. It was made at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2009. The countries agreed to try and limit temperatures from rising more than 2 degrees Celsius. The countries also agreed to invest money in helping developing countries reduce their carbon dioxide emissions. To do this, they have agreed to get help from other countries that are better equipped to handle the issue. So, they have created a system of pledges and payments that each country can make to show their commitment to fighting climate change.
