Domain warehousing

Hey kiddo, have you ever heard of a house? A house is like a place where you live and keep all your toys and clothes, right?

Well, just like a house, a website also needs a place to live on the internet. That place is called a domain. A domain is like an address that people can use to find your website.

Now, imagine that there are some people who buy a lot of different domains but they don’t actually use them for anything. They just hold onto them for a long time, hoping that someone will pay them a lot of money to buy it later. That’s what people call domain warehousing.

It’s like these people are buying up a bunch of empty houses just to sit on them and wait for someone to offer them a lot of money to buy it later. But that means that a lot of the really good addresses are already taken and it can be hard for someone else to find a good address for their website.

That’s why some people think domain warehousing is a little bit unfair. It’s important to have a good address for your website, and if someone is just sitting on a bunch of them and not using them, it can make it more difficult for other people to get the address they want.
