Domestication

Domestication is when people take animals or plants and change them to better suit them for use. For example, people might select and breed animals that are not scared of humans, so they can be used as pets or to help with farming or transportation. They also take plants and change them to better produce food, like corn and potatoes. Domestication is how we've been able to turn different plants and animals into useful and helpful things.
