Energy and society

Okay kiddo, let's talk about energy and society.

Have you ever played with a toy car? Imagine that the car needs a battery to run, just like a lot of other things in our world need energy to work.

Now, where does all that energy come from? One way is through non-renewable sources like coal, oil, and gas. These things were made a long time ago from dead plants and animals. We dig them up from the ground and burn them to make things go, like cars and airplanes and electricity for our homes.

The problem is that these things will eventually run out, and when we burn them, they also make a lot of pollution that harms our environment.

That's why we're trying to find different ways to get energy. Some ways are from renewable sources like the sun, wind, and water. These things will never run out, and they don't make as much pollution.

But it's not just about where we get our energy from, it's also about how much we use. We need to be careful not to use too much energy because it costs a lot of money and it harms our planet.

So, energy and society are important because we need energy to make things work, but we also need to be mindful of how we get it and how we use it. We want to make sure that we have enough energy to go around for everyone, now and in the future.
