Genuine Progress Indicator

A genuine progress indicator (GPI) is a way to measure the progress of a society. It looks at things like the environment, jobs, education and safety to measure the country's success - not just how much money people have. GPI takes into account things like air and water pollution, people's health, and crime, so it can show how much people are really benefiting from their lives. It also helps to show inequality - people who are wealthy can do more things than people who are poor, and GPI can help to show that. GPI helps us to understand how the world is really changing, so we can make sure everyone is doing better and we all have better lives.
