ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Handwriting

Handwriting is a way of writing letters and numbers with a pen or pencil on paper. It's something most people learn when they are little and it's a way of communicating by writing down words and sentences.

Your hand moves the pen or pencil to make different shapes that look like letters and numbers. Each letter has a specific shape and you have to learn how to make them in a certain way so that they look like they are supposed to.

When you're first learning how to write, you might have trouble making the letters look neat and tidy, but with practice, you will get better and develop your own unique style of handwriting. Your handwriting can be different from someone else's as we all have our own way of holding the pen or pencil, and making the shapes of each letter.

If you have good handwriting it helps people to read what you have written and it can make your work look nice and tidy. So keep practicing and slowly, but surely, you will improve!
