Iconoclasm

Iconoclasm is when someone takes down or destroys an object with special meaning. For example, if someone took down a painting, sculpture, or monument that people really cared about, it would be called iconoclasm. Iconoclasis is not just physical, it can also include removing someone or something from a position of respect or power.
