Italians were treated differently under the 'Italian Racial Laws'. People with Italian heritage were treated differently than those who didn't have Italian heritage. People with Italian heritage were not allowed to make certain choices, like which type of job they could have or where they could marry. People without Italian heritage, who were not Italian at all, were given more rights and opportunities than people with Italian heritage. This meant that people with Italian heritage could not have the same opportunities or freedoms as people without Italian heritage.
