Mindfulness-based stress reduction

Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) is a way to help kids (and adults, too!) stay calm and relaxed even when things get tough. It's a way to stay mindful, or aware, of our thoughts and feelings. It helps us to recognize when we are feeling stressed. To do MBSR, you sit in a relaxed position and focus on your breath or think of a relaxing image. You also practice being aware of your thoughts and feelings. Then, you learn ways to respond to stress in healthier, more controlled ways. With practice, you can use MBSR to help you stay calm and relaxed no matter what comes your way!
