ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Preference falsification

Preference falsification is when someone acts like they believe something that they actually don't believe. For example, if you are at school and you think that the teacher's rule is unfair but you don't want to get in trouble, you might say that you think the rule is okay even though you don't actually believe that it is okay. Preference falsification is like pretending to like something even if you don't like it.
