Protected areas

Okay kiddo, do you know what a park is? It's a place where you can play and have fun outside, right? Well, protected areas are kind of like parks for nature. They are special places where animals, plants, and other creatures can live without being bothered or hurt by humans.

Protected areas can be big or small, and they can be found all over the world. Some are forests, some are deserts, and some are oceans. In these protected areas, people have to be really careful not to damage or disturb anything. That means no cutting down trees, no littering, no building things, and no hunting for animals.

Why do we need protected areas, you ask? Well, sometimes humans can cause a lot of harm to nature. We might cut down trees for wood or build buildings on land that belongs to animals. This can make it hard for animals to survive and for the environment to stay healthy.

Protected areas help to make sure that nature has a safe and healthy place to live. This way, we can make sure that animals have a home, plants can grow, and the environment can stay healthy for a long time.
