Purplewashing

Purplewashing is a type of misleading marketing that makes it look like a company or organization cares about social justice issues more than it actually does. For example, a company that pollutes the environment might advertise on purple banners and make it look like they care about social justice issues like gender equality. They might even pretend to support causes like LGBT rights or diversity when in fact they don't do anything to support these issues. The idea behind this type of marketing is to trick people into thinking the company is doing more than it actually is.
