ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Rural area

So, you know how you live in a city and there are tall buildings and lots of people around you? Well, there are some places where there are not many buildings or people. These places are called rural areas. It's like a really big backyard that goes on for miles and miles.

In rural areas, people live further away from each other and there are generally more farms and fields. This means that there are more spaces for animals like cows, horses, and sheep to walk around and eat grass. It's also where your fruits and vegetables come from that you eat every day.

Sometimes, getting things like groceries or going to school might take longer because you have to drive or take the school bus further than you would in the city. But, people in rural areas like that they have lots of quiet and fresh air around them. It's a different way of life!
