ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sexual diversity

Sexual diversity means that there are many different ways people experience sexual attraction, desire, and behavior. Just like there are different kinds of ice cream flavors (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, etc.), there are different ways people feel about their sexuality.

Some people might like boys, some people might like girls, and some people might like both. Some people might not feel attracted to anyone at all. Some people might feel like a boy on the inside but look like a girl on the outside, or the other way around.

Just like how everyone likes different kinds of food, everyone likes different kinds of sexual experiences. Some people might like to kiss and cuddle, while others might prefer something more physical like touching or sex.

It is important to remember that everyone's feelings about their sexuality are valid and should be respected. It's okay to be curious about different sexual identities and experiences, and to ask questions in a respectful way to learn more. Ultimately, what matters most is that people feel safe, happy, and comfortable with themselves and their sexual preferences.
