Standards organization

A standards organization is a group of people who work together to make sure that things are the same across an industry, a region, or the whole world. This can include things like safety standards, technology standards, and language standards. For example, a standards organization might make sure that different languages are always written the same way in books. They also help to make sure that products are safe for people to use, by making sure that all of the parts of the product have been tested and are made according to a certain set of rules. Without standards organizations, things would be more confusing and there could be problems with safety.
