Statistical model

A statistical model is a way to make predictions about something. It uses numbers and facts from past events and experiences to help decide what might happen in the future. For instance, if you wanted to know how long it would take for someone to read a book, you could use a statistical model to estimate the answer. The model could use data from past readers such as the book's length, the readers' reading speed, and other factors to make its prediction.
