Stonehenge is like a very big puzzle made out of stones that people put together a really, really long time ago. It's a big circle made out of big stones that you can see when you go to a place called Wiltshire in England. These stones are really heavy, like when you try to lift something really, really heavy and you need a lot of people to help!
Stonehenge was made more than 4,000 years ago by people who lived a long, long time ago. They were very smart and knew how to move rocks to make big things like Stonehenge. The people who made it didn't have all the tools and machines that we have now, so they used their hands and clever ways of moving the stones.
We don't know exactly why they built it, but we think it was used for different things like a kind of calendar to know when the seasons would change or as a special place to do important ceremonies or celebrations. People still visit Stonehenge today to try and figure out what it was used for and to see how clever the people who made it were!
