ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Universal design

Universal design means designing things so that anybody can use them, no matter who they are. It takes into account different things like age, a person's physical condition, and other factors. It means making sure everyone can use a product or service, from a elderly person in a wheelchair to a person with different abilities. This is done by making sure the design is safe and easy for all people to use, so that nobody is left out or disadvantaged because of their physical abilities or age. It's also known as "inclusive design" and is becoming increasingly important as our population ages.
