Zagros Mountains

The Zagros Mountains are a very big and tall chain of mountains that are located in Iran, which is a country in Asia. Imagine a big line of giant rocks that go up and up into the sky, and that's what the Zagros Mountains look like.

These mountains are very important because they provide a home for many animals, like wild goats and leopards. They also have lots of different types of plants that are unique to this area.

Long, long, long ago, even before your mom and dad were born, people used to live in the Zagros Mountains. They would build their homes and grow crops in the flat areas between the mountains, and they would hunt animals for food. They learned how to make things like pottery and tools from the rocks in the mountains.

Even now, there are still people living in this area, and they depend on the mountains for things like wood, water, and food. Sometimes they even use animals like horses and donkeys to help carry things up and down the steep slopes of the mountains.

So basically, the Zagros Mountains are a very big and important part of Iran, and they have been home to many people and animals for a very, very long time.
