ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Digital printing

Digital printing is when you use a special kind of printer that can print things from your computer or phone directly onto paper or other materials, like fabric or metal. It's really similar to the regular printers you might have seen, but it's special because it uses tiny little dots of ink to create a picture or text.

To make a digital print, first you have to create a design on your computer or phone. This can be anything you want, like a picture of your dog, a favorite quote, or even a picture you drew yourself.

Next, you choose what kind of material you want to print on, like regular paper, photo paper, canvas, or even a t-shirt. Then, you load your chosen material into the printer.

Now, this is where the magic happens! The printer takes your design and prints it onto the material using tiny little dots of ink. These dots can be different colors, like red, green, and blue, and when they're all printed together they create the picture or text you made.

One of the coolest things about digital printing is that it can be done really quickly and easily, and you can make as many copies as you need. Plus, since it's digital, you can edit and change your design as many times as you want before you print it out!

So, in short, digital printing is a really cool way to make pictures and text on all kinds of materials using a special printer and your computer or phone!
