Gender inequality

Gender inequality is when different people are treated differently because of their gender, or because of the way they have chosen to express their gender. For example, boys and girls might be given different chores at home or taught different subjects in school. In some places, women may not have the same rights as men or may not be able to make all the same choices as men. This means that women might not receive the same education or job opportunities as men. This unfairness can lead to inequality in income, opportunities, and access to health care and other services.
