Genomics is the study of all the genetic information (the instructions for making you) that is stored inside your cells. Every living thing has a set of instructions called genes, and these genes are made up of DNA. Genomics looks at the way that all these individual pieces fit together, like a puzzle, to give us information on how your body works and how it is affected by different things. By studying genomics, scientists are able to look at how changes in these instructions affect things like disease, nutrition, and even behavior.
