ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hosea 10

Hosea is a book in the Bible that talks about how God's people (the Israelites) were not being very good and were worshiping idols instead of worshiping God. Hosea 10 talks about how the people of Israel were like plants that should have grown good fruit, but instead they were growing bad fruit because they were doing bad things.

In the story, Hosea talks about how the Israelites had made altars to worship idols and how they thought these idols could help them instead of trusting in God. But Hosea tells them that these idols are not real and cannot do anything to help them.

Hosea also talks about how the Israelites will be punished for their bad behavior and how they will be taken away from their homes and sent to a different place. But Hosea also says that if they turn back to God and start following him again, he will forgive them and bring them back to their homeland.

So, the lesson from Hosea 10 is that we should always trust in God, even when things are hard, and we should not worship idols or anything else instead of God. And if we make mistakes, we can always ask God for forgiveness and try to be better.
