ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Inquiry-based Science

Inquiry-based science is when we ask lots of questions and try to find answers by doing experiments and observations.

Imagine you have a toy car and you want to know how fast it can go. Instead of just guessing or looking it up, you can set up an experiment to find out. You can measure how long it takes the car to travel a certain distance and then use that information to calculate its speed.

That's what inquiry-based science is all about - asking questions, setting up experiments or observations to find answers, and then using what we discover to learn more. It's like being a detective and trying to solve mysteries about how things work in the world around us.

By doing inquiry-based science, we can learn new things, make discoveries, and even invent new things that can help make life better for all of us.
