ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Managed democracy

Managed democracy is a type of government in which citizens have the right to make decisions about the way their country is run, like choosing their leaders and making laws, while the government has control over the way these decisions are made. For example, the government might limit how people can campaign, who can vote, and how people can communicate their opinions. It is a way of making sure that the government has power over how people want their country to be run, while still allowing citizens to have some say in it.
