Police state

A police state is a country or place where the government has a lot of control and the people don't have many rights. People living in a police state can't speak their minds without being worried that they'll get punished by the government. Police officers have a lot of power and can stop and search people without having a good reason. People can be arrested without being told why, and they don't have access to a lawyer.
