Psychological projection

Psychological projection is when someone is feeling a certain way inside, but instead of admitting it, they pretend it's coming from someone else. It's like a defense mechanism that helps us feel better by believing that something negative is coming from someone else, not us. Imagine you are really angry but you don't want to admit it. You might think that the person you are talking to is really angry and grumpy instead. That's an example of psychological projection.
