ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Rights of nature

Rights of nature is the idea that all parts of nature, like plants, animals, water, and even the earth itself, should have the same rights as people. This means that nature should be treated with respect, like people do with each other, and that no one should be allowed to hurt or damage it without a really good reason. This also includes making sure that people use the resources that nature provides in a way that doesn't damage it. In other words, rights of nature means taking care of nature and making sure it is protected!
