Taxation as slavery

Taxation as slavery is an idea that taxation can be viewed as a form of slavery, in that it involves taking away your money and using it for something you don't necessarily want. Just like slaves had no control over where their labor was spent, taxpayers have no control over where their taxes are spent. Even though the government has to collect taxes so it can provide services, like education and healthcare, some people feel that this is still like taking away their freedom and making them slaves to the government.
